Vacuum Collectors exhibit higher performance in cold and cloudy conditions. A good design includes a heat rejection unit avoiding over heating in space heating applications especially in summers.

Some advantages include:

• They can reach very high temperatures even in areas with less sunlight.

• Minimum installation cost as the evacuated tube solar panels are very easy to assemble.

• Aesthetically very attractive design.

• Very basic maintenance as the tubes can easily be cleaned or even replaced without having to disconnect the sustem.

• Higher efficiency compared with standard flat panels.

Vacuum tubes with 'heat pipe' technology:

Unlike other panels, this system does not heat the water directly within the vacuum tubes. Instead, a sealed copper Heat Pipe transfers the heat via convection of its internal heat transfer fluid to a Hot Bulb that indirectly heats a copper manifold within the header.

Some important characteristics about Amordads solar enrgy panels using heat-pipe technology are:
1- Structure: These heat pipes are inserted into curved absorbers forming an assembly which is then inserted into the vacuum glass tubes.

2- Technology: A heat pipe employs an evaporating-condensing cycle, which accepts heat from an external source, uses this heat to evaporate the liquid (latent heat) and then releases latent heat by reverse transformation (condensation) at a heat sink region.

Heat pipes might seem like a new concept, but you are probably using them everyday and don't even know it. Laptop computers often using small heat pipes to conduct heat away from the CPU, and air-conditioning system commonly use heat pipes for heat conduction.

The principle behind heat pipe's operation is actually very simple:
The basic heat pipe is a closed container consisting of a capillary wick structure and a small amount of vaporizable fluid.

The efficiency of the panel is increased by fitting reflectors so that the sunlight falling between the tubes is not wasted. These are manufactured from pressed stainless steel which are then clamped between each tube using purpose made clips.
