In 2003, Amordad became the first distributor of semi-transparent PV modules (Also known as Solar Windows).
By 2006, the founders decided to register Amordad Holdings S.L. in Madrid and since then Amordad has been expanding rapidly throughout Spain. Initially, the decision was to stick with thermal solar energy systems because Amordad had a strong base in this field and it was more reliable to enter the market through there. Also taking into account that the company already had contact with a large list of potential clients with demands to be satisfied.
By mid-2005, Amordad was collaborating and investing (financial as well as R&D) in a few Asian factories for the production of thermal vacuum tube systems. Again, Amordad was one of the first companies in Spain to introduce this technology at a highly competitive level.
Throughout 2006, Amordad was primarily dedicated to Thermal Solar Systems. Beginning 2007 until present day, the PV activities and network of sales agents is being strongly developed. Currently, Amordad has a dedicated team of sales agents and distributors in all major Spanish cities and Peninsula.
The total number of dedicated sales points exceeds 20 and there are more than 130 sales agents exclusively promoting Amordad products.
The end clients vary from single house family users to some of the major construction and Installation companies throughout the nation.
90% of Amordad activity is currently focused on thermal energy although management has indicated that there is a need to develop its' market share in the PV segment with an emphasis on roof systems and installations.
